The trouble with arguing with Pippi was, now she was rooming with her, and was much more likely to have to, you know, see her and talk to her again really quickly after said argument.

And Nadia really wasn't in the mood for that, tonight.

She briefly considered crashing in 507 again, but decided against it. She'd just have to suck it up and deal, or possibly just not talk to Pippi. She headed into the room and went over to her bed to pull out a notebook and scribble down what she remembered of her dreams from the last few weeks, what she remembered of her vision quest and meditations, and a few notes about the memorial that day.

Seemed like a decent thing to do.

"Good broadcast," Walter said, wandering in from the shower. "Should I ask about the part where you weren't pouting?"

Nadia sighed. "Chad was in Mexico. And called me. From Mexico. Where it's warm. And not snowing. In Mexico."

Walter found himself entirely unsympathetic to the fact that Nadia was not in Mexico with Chad.

"Nothing else?" Like the conversation with Pippi she didn't want to talk about?

"I mentioned Mexico, right?"

"Yes. You did." Walter meticulously dried off his shampoo bottles before putting them away.

"And that's why you didn't want to talk to Pippi?"

"I had no problem with talking to Pippi until she started in on her passive-aggressive mothering crap again."

"Her what?" Passive aggressive? Wasn't that a contradiction in terms?

"She's all 'Walter wouldn't go into the woods aloooooone', obviously implying I was dumb to do it, and when I called her on it and asked her to stop, she's starts being all 'well excuse me for caring, bitch' just like she always is, and and so I called her on that because I'm sick of her basically telling me I'm stupid and then getting all defensive when I get mad about it and making it seem like it's all my fault and I finally just left because I'm tired of it."

Walter sorted through the info deluge and seemed to grasp only one thing. Only not.

"She called you bitch?" Pippi?

"Well, not outloud. But she did say I had a crappy attitude and refered to 'pink rat patooties', which I think is a part of the rat that I'd rather not think about."

Pink rat patooties? Yes, he would rather not dwell on those, too.

"I think this is one of those instances where I get to claim Swiss citizenship and stay out of it." Because an argument between his best friend and his girlfriend? Even Walter knew just the tiniest bit of prudence.

"So I'm going to change the subject and ask if you're recovered from your adventure yet?"

She comes in the 506 door and goes directly to her bed.

Pippi closes the canopy curtains around her bed and puts her laptop headphones on.

Nadia resisted the temptation to throw things at the curtain and went back to her notebook.

"Hey Nadia," Alphonse greeted from his spot on his bed, balancing between both a bouncy kitty and an open book.

Cuddles regarded Nadia for a quick moment before rolling back on his side, attempting to get comfortable in the sheets. "Jeez," Alphonse chuckled, folding the book shut and setting it aside. He'd been reading the darn thing for most of the day, may as well save some of it for later. "Anyway," he said. "How was radio?"

"You'd know if you'd've listened," Nadia teased gently. "Should I print out a transcript and put it into your book?"

Alphonse stuck his tongue out at her briefly. "Yeah, I know, I know," Alphonse replied. "I don't think a radio transcript will fit in very well regarding the topic of the book."

"Oh yeah? What's the topic?"

"What else?" He gave a sheepish smile, fully aware his reading choices were likely predictable; reading over the cover would reveal it to be yet another one of Alphonse's scientific textbooks out of what could be called a collection of them.

Nadia nodded. "Discover anything new for your alchemy?"
