OOC: Fandom Teacher appreciation

Hi everybody!

A random fact that many of you probably do not know about me is that I am a trained and certified teacher in RL (though not currently employed as one).

As such, I happen to know that teaching is one of the hardest things to do well. It just is. Planning and organizing lessons for students takes hours of work, and can be very frustrating when it doesn't go well.

That said, playing a teacher in an online RPG is possibly even harder. You're not there face to face to push students into being active, and the various time zones can be a big old headache when it comes to organizing.

As such, I would like to give a shout out to all the people who play or have played teachers in the game. You're all wonderful, and your classes are fun, and you've shouldered a very difficult, but vital role in this game.

*seconds that!* I'm currently going to school to become a secondary ed. English teacher, and playing teachers online is possibly harder. I tip my hat to everyone who's taught in this game.

I played Tick as a teacher for almost a full calendar year and that was probably the hardest thing I've done in the game. At that time it was coming up with two classes a week on a subject I knew nothing about from a gleefully psychotic perspective while trying to balance work and real life.

There's a reason why Tick is fairly quiet now. Actually, there's a reason why there are so few faculty members period remaining from this time a year ago. It's tough. So kudos to you, fake teachers! And thank you! You do good work!
