Room 507, Saturday morning
Nov. 18th, 2006 12:31 pmNadia woke up a bit late for her duties from the strangest dreams. She shook her head and rubbed her eyes, then noticed the angle of the light coming in the window.
She'd slept in! She jumped out of bed and dressed hurriedly. She was going to be late for work, and probably not be allowed any supper, and it was all that damned ogre's fault!
She paused. "Ogre." Right. That had been rather weird, hadn't it. She turned to look at Furrball, her pet miniature blue griffin. "There was an ogre in here."
That's when she saw the talisman.
She remembered, in a vague sort of way that she also blamed on the ogre, that the local cleric, Schrodinger, had been by the night before, telling her something about a "debt". No, not a debt, a "destiny". He'd been quite clear that she had a destiny and than this talisman thing had something to do with that.
The ogre probably did, too.
Well, she owed it to the world and the kingdom of Fandom, especially, to fulfill that destiny. She carefully lifted theMueller device talisman, put it back in its box, then tucked the box into her pillowcase, which she tied up as a bag and slung over her shoulder.
Now, to go see about finding someone who could explain how an ogre had managed to get into her bed chambers.
[ooc: establishing, will put up hallway post momentarily.]
