After the embarrassment of falling asleep in Chemistry, Nadia had skipped lunch to take a nice, long nap.
When she woke up she was suddenly full of energy again, ready to go out and have some fun. The song from the movie last night was still in her head, and she found herself humming it as she fed Furball and cleaned up her room a little bit.
She had to get her hands on some of that music.
She glanced out the window and noted she probably had about an hour of the pale, winter sunlight left. Plenty of time to go into town, find a music store, get a CD or two, and come back, right?
Just in case, she loaded down her backpack as much as possible to create a nice, blunt, swing-y weapon and put on her steel-toed boots.
"Bye Furball," she called as she headed out the door. "I won't be gone long."
