Room 507, Wednesday night
Aug. 23rd, 2006 11:45 pmNadia was feeling rather better, after spending some time shooting things up on the gun range. She now had a full clip and her safetied gun tucked within easy reach under her pillow and was keeping an eye on her locked door while she attempted to work on her adventure story.
The fact that Walter was there with her and that Jamie was gone, hopefully staying somewhere else entirely until this whole thing was cleared up, was both really good, in that she knew he was there to help her, and really, really distracting.
Especially with the adventure story open.
Stupid Sloane. Or person pretending to be Sloane.
[ooc: door be closed and locked, but knockable. Be prepared to be interrogated for knocking. Things may potentially progress into being NWS.]

She wondered if they could get Al to do the door sealing thing from the outside.
"What's another word for 'relax'?"

Mario was silent as usual and looking especially unwinded where he leaned against Elena's bed.
That just didn't quite work.

satlied"Dammit. My English sucks today. What's the word for when you're sitting and lying down at the same time?"

Date: 2006-08-24 04:25 am (UTC)Nadia broke off in the typing to try and block the screen with her hands. "Nothing. Just a story."

Date: 2006-08-24 04:28 am (UTC)"Will you be selling it?"
no subject
Date: 2006-08-24 04:36 am (UTC)Nadia tried to surreptitiously examine Walter's sleeve, wondering how easily it would rip.
Considering what he tended to do in those suits, probably not easily.
Elena slid her tongue along her teeth as she thought about pulling the fibers apart with her teeth
Was that too repetitive?

Date: 2006-08-24 04:41 am (UTC)"If Cally gets to read it...." It was terribly tempting to keep hassling her about it.

Elena slid her tongue along her teeth as she thought about pulling the fibers apart with them.
Did that make it look like she was pulling fibers apart with fibers? Stupid grammar. This sentence wasn't working.
". . . Do you promise not to tease me about it forever?"

Date: 2006-08-24 04:59 am (UTC)And the pirates? The mermaid? The sheik? The evil spies?
Walter was sorely regretting his promise.
After a bit he ended up scooting over to sit on the bed next to Nadia while he read some of the juicier parts.
Not snickering. Really.
He promised.

Date: 2006-08-24 05:19 am (UTC)Really, if she was going to show him the story, now, when she was stressed nigh unto snapping, was the time to do it if she didn't want him to laugh.
He paged down a little more until he found a scene with the mercenary machine and whistled appreciatively. Then he realized that he was picturing Pip and Pippi a little more intimately than he really wished to and moved on to something safer with Mario, Elena, and Calliope (?!)
Oh my. They hadn't done that either.
no subject
Date: 2006-08-24 05:21 am (UTC)Mario, Elena, and Calliope were more . . . experienced with each other than their real counterparts. What did Walter expect, really?

Date: 2006-08-24 05:29 am (UTC)He might have been making a few mental notes.
"How long do I have to read this? You have a novel here."
no subject
Date: 2006-08-24 05:31 am (UTC)And it wasn't a novel. It wasn't finished yet.
"I couldn't contact you guys and I missed you. So I had to do something. That's why it's so long."
