Outside the dorms, Friday night

What was the best way to top off the worst week ever?

How about pissing off one of your best friends and ending up with a crepe in your lap?

And then rampaging through your room, possibly almost breaking your foot, and screaming on the roof?

No, that wasn't enough. Not at all. You had to get into another argument with said friend and then not even be able to hide away because your roommate had somehow managed to turn your room into party central.

Nadia wrapped her arms around herself and walked, head down, staring at the ground.

Ranma is jogging around outside. He notices her sitting there after about his thrid or 4th lap around the dorm. He slows and stops, not getting closer but calling to her in a calm and friendly manner.

"Hey? Are you okay?" He's never met her before but he figures he'd ask because she looks hurt or something.

Nadia . . . had no idea who that was. Must be a new kid. She self-consciously folded her arm over her cast. No need to freak the kid out too much.

"I'm fine."

Oblivious, and equiped with blunt honesty as he was taught no other polisy during his childhood experiences. "If you're fine then why not get up? You make people worry when you sit on the ground like that."

Uh oh. Girls. Ranma can't function well when on of them talks to him. He's usually too shy to try to talk straight.

Great. Just what she needed. Another random person spending their time worrying about her.

"I'm thinking."

"Oh. I guess that's a good reason to sit like that. Sure you're okay?" He won't pester her further after this, he's honestly trying to just make sure she's not hurt.

Nadia realized with a start that she was taking her mood out on some poor schlub who she didn't even know.

"Yeah. I'm fine. I'm Nadia, by the way." She didn't offer her hand to shake, since she was still using it to try and hide her cast.

He doesn't mind, he doesn't like shaking hands much anyway.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Ranma Saotome."

"You're one of the new students." It's not a question. "How do you like Fandom so far?"

She's not thinking about whether or not she'd be capable of killing him. Very carefully not thinking that at all.
