Nadia's alarm goes off. Her arm snakes out from under the covers and smacks down on the alarm clock. She groans.
Her arm aches. She rolls over to go back to sleep.
Then jerks upright, the combination of the soreness from fighting Walter last night and the left over taste of booze in her mouth making her think for a second that she's back on the streets of Buenos Aires.
She lunges out of bed, snaps back to reality, and sags. She's in Fandom. She glances at the clock. She's in Fandom and she's going to be late for class if she doesn't get moving.
As she limps as fast as possible down the stairs, she starts formulating something to say during her Foreign Literature class. And thinks about how to get out of Chemistry. She's so not up to seeing a lab again just yet.
