Room 507, Saturday
Apr. 15th, 2006 04:11 pmNadia got back to her room to be greeted by a rather annoyed cat sitting in front of his empty food dish. She hurried over to feed him, spouting apologies as she went, only to slip on an envelope that had been sitting in the doorway.
"What the . . . ."
She picked it up and turned it over in her hands a few times. It had her name written across the front, and her room number, but no return address and no stamp. She shrugged and opened it.
Dear Nadia,
I wanted to let you know that the cure worked and that you made a full recovery. And while I cannot reveal all the details of your future, I think you'll be very happy.soon as I kill all these badguys that keep trying to kill you
Love,
Arvin
And then sat there, on the floor, staring down at the letter for a long moment before Furrball's mewing brought her back to reality.
She quickly got some food for her cat, then went to put Sloane's letter away in her desk drawer with the one she'd brought back with her from the hotel.
Well, that just gave her even more to think about. She flopped down onto the floor and stared up at the ceiling.
