Room 507, Sunday night
Jan. 8th, 2006 11:16 pmSophia would have been proud. It was Sunday, and Nadia hadn't really done much of anything.
Okay, so she also hadn't gone to church, or even prayed at all, but still. Seventh day resting and all that.
She was delighted with the flowers her secret sibling had apparently sent her, cheerful about the conversations she'd had and the people she'd met, and almost felt ready to face school the next day.
Almost.
She finally checked her schedule:
Monday
Shop - 9:00-9:50 am
Tuesday
Foreign Lit - 9:00-9:50 am
Chemistry (2) - 11:00-11:50 am
Wednesday
Shop - 9:00-9:50 am
Thursday
Foreign Lit - 9:00-9:50 am
Chemistry (2) - 11:00-11:50 am
Friday
free
It seemed that, without even trying, she'd managed to get herself a pretty light class load for her first time ever attending a real school. She smiled, satisfied, and dug out her journal.
After a hectic four days, I think I might finally getting the hang of this school. Everyone seems very relaxed and friendly, and other than a bit of confusion of a problem with the phones on Friday, everyone seems to get along really well.
She stared at the page. The information was bland, but generally accurate. She hoped it would do for when her parole officer asked to see the thing. She flipped to the back of the book, ripped out several pages, lay them down on the cover, and started writing.
People met
Marty, Marty's girl friend, Sydney, Lily, Xander, Monkey Girl, Angel, Aeryn, Mean-Girl, Cally, Phoebe, Paige, Maia, Not-Gremlin, Logan, that other guy from Cally's planet, a bunch of naked people, the Green Guy, and a handful of others.
People to trust
Marty's girl - generally cool, doesn't seem to hold a grudge
Sydney - super nice, friendly, and has been to Russia but didn't seem to like it
Lily - it's much easier to be able to trust a roommate. Quiet, but seems nice
Xander - definitely funny, seems to know what to watch out for around here
Monkey Girl - strange, but fun in a kooky way
Aeryn - Quiet. Too honest and calm not to be untrustworthy
Mean Girl - has yet to take offense to the fact that I can't remember her name, funny
Not-Gremlin - can break through security. This could be a good person to have on my side
People to keep an eye on
Marty - professional killer
Angel - vampire with apparently unsecured soul
Maia - seeing future? What's up with that?
Logan - was warned he might be mean when asking questions about FH
Green guy - something about singing?
Dunno about the others yet.
Things to keep an eye out for!
Gremlins, vampires, zombies, giant squid, chihuahuas(?), lockers, principals, voicemail, teachers who like to stuff and mount students
Nadia looked over the lists a few times, then added:
Look into purchasing some sort of weapon. Also, sexier underwear.
Satisfied, Nadia folded up the list and tucked it under her mattress. She set her new alarm clock in case she forgot later, put on her headphones and closed her eyes.
She wasn't tired quite yet, but she didn't feel like exploring any further right now.
