Room 507, Thursday, late afternoon
Apr. 6th, 2006 02:51 pmNadia got back to the dorms from running errands in town and went straight up to her room, where she pulled out her notebook and a few pens, then slumped down in her chair at her desk and proceeded to stare at the blank notebook pages for awhile.
Every now and then, she'd write something down, then tear the page out, crumple it up, and throw it out.
Furrball sat by her feet, staring up at her in utter confusion.
Very faintly, a soft pattering noise could be heard, approaching the door
hippety hoppety
getting closer by the second.
hoppety hippety
Furrball heard it before Nadia did.
hippety hoppety hoppety hippety
He slunk over to the door to investigate
hippety
and saw
hoppety
the bunnies!
HIPPETY HOPPETY HOPPETY HIPPETY!
In they streamed, seemingly determined to un-emo the emo girl at the desk! They swarmed up her legs, hugging all the way, cheerfully singing little inch-tall bunny songs and giggling!
Nadia glanced down, then resumed staring at her paper.
The bunnies frowned collectively, then swarmed onto the desk.
And began to dance. And sing, in squeaky, tiny bunny voices:
lala lalalala LALA lalalala LALA lalalala la!
lalalalalalala. . . .
Where they got the fluffy skirts and learned to kick like that, no one would probably ever know.
But they were quite impressively skilled at the Can-Can.
