the roof, Friday night
Mar. 25th, 2006 01:21 amYes. Nadia was back on the roof of emo.
Yes. She had her guitarof emo.
So, it stood to reason, that she was playing a songof emo.
After her lunch, she was pretty sure at least one of her better friends was now mad at her. Though watching the movie with Blair and crew had been fun. But then she'd felt guilty about having funat Blair's expense when she'd messed things up so much earlier in the week.
So. Roof. Guitar. Song.Emo
I never thought you were the letter writing type
so now I see the words you chose the way you write
so I started to write back about theapple trees and the snow monsters
and I saw a bird, couldn't say what it was but I thought you'd know
you always surprised me
And if I wrote You
If I wrote You
You would know me
and you would not write me again
And when the spring came and flooded all the streams
It's like how you got the night you told me all you dreams
And when the barn roof sagged after an icy bout
It's like how you shrugged when you knew the truth was the only way out
but not the only way
And if I wrote you
If I wrote you
You would know me
and you would not write me again
We drew our arms around the bastard sons
We never would drink to the chosen ones
Well you know the way I left was not the way I planned
But I thought the world needed love and a steady hand
so I'm steady now
And I'm so happy
I had to tell you
And I love you
And you will not write me again
You will not write me again
You will not write me again

Date: 2006-03-25 06:50 am (UTC)emoingup there. When he opened the door to the roof and heard guitar, he assumed it would be one of two people.
He waited for a break in the music. "Hi."

Date: 2006-03-25 06:56 am (UTC)Her voice wasn't much louder than the guitar. "Hi."
She wondered how long he'd been listening.

Date: 2006-03-25 07:45 am (UTC)"By the time I leave Fandom, I'm going to have an interesting way of telling stories. 'This scar is from robots. This one from my boyfriend. This one is from giant purple bunnies from outer space.'" He laughed and took another bite of sandwich.

Date: 2006-03-25 07:49 am (UTC)Because she was pretty sure she had no right to say anything about it, at all. After all, she was just the dumb girl with a crush. She looked down at her guitar, then out over Fandom and smiled without humor. "Heh. Yeah. Giant . . . purple bunnies. That's funny."
Her fingers struck a bad note and she winced. "I hope that's not what's coming next. Because I like bunnies. I don't want them to suck."

Because there was no way in hell she was going to say the word, out loud, to Walter. Especially not after the Kiss.

no subject
Date: 2006-03-25 08:25 am (UTC)Fortunately, Nadia had never seen any of the many adult films about the "fun" to be had at summer camps, so she got to stop blushing.
Otherwise, she might well have passed out from lack of blood to her brain.

Date: 2006-03-25 08:36 am (UTC)"I'd been here just a few days when he sent me a letter saying I should think about going home because he couldn't find anything, but he's better than his brother, Richard. At least Arthur means well."

Date: 2006-03-25 08:48 am (UTC)This was a topic Nadia didn't mind delving into. Because it wasn't in any way about her, and didn't make her think about how she was the queen of evil and going to hell, and a bad person all around.

One of these days, they would have a conversation that didn't result in her a) blushing, b) sounding like a moron, or c) running away.
One of these days.
