Nadia leaned against her door as she came in. She stared down at Furrball. She could not believe what had happened at the play.

She slid slowly to the floor, her eyes tearing, biting her lower lip. Her chest ached.

Furrball crept up, putting out a paw to Nadia and mewing softly.

Nadia couldn't hold it in any more.

"Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!"

She curled up on her side, and laughed until she was afraid she was going to pass out.

"Only . . . only at this . . . school!" She might have been heard to mumble, in between giggles. "Only at this school."
